Class Trip to Nitobe Gardens

The contact person from the Nitobe Memorial Gardens Volunteer Society called me today to confirm Tuesday March 21st as the day for our guided tour of the Japanese gardens. The sakura will hopefully co-operate to provide a most memorable Japanese experience!

Please return here in coming days for information on the specific time and travel arrangements.
Update: We are confirmed for twelve-thirty at the Gardens, directions and map here. All meet behind the Bennett Library at eleven thirty: drivers still needed ....
Update II: The tour will take us to one thirty ....

i'm a glutton for punishment, but anyone intersted in trying the "honour roll" at ubc? :D

Is the honour roll a kind of maki sushi?

With people's schedules, it will be best I discover to have our lunch on the final class day.

the honour roll is a student operated maki-ya at ubc. where it is, i have no clue, but i assume either the sub or village. i just hope it's better than the moon...

i hope weather clears up as i try to take similar pictures from last time as well as not freezing my freakin' hands.

krystal: tour was about an hour last time (but it felt longer cuz it was cold).

and for head count, i'm busing to ubc, so i'll see you guys there.

ahhh is the moon the other japanese place there? because I ate at a japanese place there in the village (obviously not owned by japanese) and their food was terrible

Its closer for me to just bus to UBC as well.. Is that okay? or do we have to meet at sfu for headcount purposes

I think I'll bus there too. Somehow I'll find my way there. See everyone soon.

I can fit three passengers in my car, four if they're tiny people who like being squashed.
